Mum Why Do You Hurt Me

You put bars on my window
You put locks on my door
And when I yell and scream
You throw me around the floor
You hurt me when you feel like it
You burn me when ur mad
You tell me I’m a mistake when you’re feeling sad
You try to hide me away
You try to hold me down
And when I fight back
You push me all around
Ive taken hits in the head
Broken ribs too
But no matter how much you hurt me
I will always love you
When your old and frail
And you need a helping hand
Ask me and ill be there
Your wish is my command
But don’t you think I love you
For the way you treat me now
For I only love you
Because your my family
For ever and now.

Tracey, this is such a sad write that touched me deeply. I hope you did not personally have these experiences because no one should be treated like that. Excellent write. Hugs and warmest regards. Pandita
