Mum
I know that ive not been an easy child,
but my love for you lies underneath my whims,
there was no way i could be tame or mild,
i needed sometimes to shout and wave my limbs,
you are the wall i need to test my height,
the countervailing force to test my strength,
the chain i hammer with all my might,
evan though youve increased its length,
i know it must have been hard to be both mum and dad,
to raise me alone hit or miss,
to have once played good cop bad cop,
to give me grief before my midnight kiss,
but my love for you against all the odds,
is stronger still,
i need you fierce proud love,
and allways will.
