Premiere Contest WinnerMulticultural Vespers

"i like muslims",

whispered in newfangled vestry

                       for Viv might anger.

(She's said they'll blow us up in Leominster.*)

They won't, though, for Leominster is small,

bigger than London Bridge

and they're not strangers,

for all love us here, the veiled ones too.

"I LIKE MUSLIMS",

I venture, for Viv's not bothering.

A veiled lady sits beside me.

                                    Vespers now.
