Ms Mona Lisa

Walked into the diner Sat down at the bar then I saw her A woman so fine she could be a painting A masterpiece with an elegant gleam Ms Mona Lisa glanced my way Embarrassed and afraid I looked at the game As to vacate my eyes from her view Dolphins ahead by a few I'm behind by a lot Looked back at the broad Waddled over to the bar Five seats over, but why so far I watched her take a seat To the tender she said I'll drink A gulp of whisky please So polite, well mannered and sweet I hung my head and sighed A girl like that wouldn't want a guy Such as me Oh but all of the sudden In a half of a second Mr. feeling came over Grabbed my shoulder Lifted me abruptly And urged me To stand up and scream Oh baby baby it surely does seem That I've fallen in love with you again Won't you walk my way So with you I can spend the day But wait it's just a facade See my brains a little odd They say life is just a dream Oh but life to me is just a drink That I've gone drunk over Been in a slump since October Another day gone by Where I can't stand by your side Oh well oh well  Let another boat sail And I'll see you in my dreams Until I see you again Oh until we meet my friend
