Ms Contrary's Soup Garden
Round and round writing prose,...
she will stop, who knows where
helping him, helping her, helping all of us grow ..
Debbie's poetry hoe has been sharpened by time
She tills the Soup garden, with verses and rhyme..
Planting a rose, where the verse needed flow
Her crops flourish ripe, with a talented verse
and takes out a moment, to help you, of course
...
I wouldn't label her poems, as sweet as a pea...
She doesn't shy away from tidbits of some controversy
If you've read D. G's poems
You'll see they don't fall flat....
She is gifted with excellence....and that is that!!
Her poems aren't too mushy....they are filled with the meat
Of wit, and thought....not meager sprouts
Some need to be read again and again
To quite understand what she's all about
Like peas in a row, they will weather the rain
There are Imps in her garden, who like to munch
They turn over the leaves, page by page
I have a hunch...she's an Imp herself...
She is never content...to sit on a shelf
With those contests quite clever...to help us write better,
We will grow our own....from the seeds she has sown...
As we reap from the harvest....it is easy to see
Adding peas to the pot....adds some spice to the plot
Being contrary......our Ms. D.G. stirs the Soup family !!
