Mrs Whatshername

Years ago, there was a Mrs. Whatshername. To have her in second grade was a crying shame. That teacher had a temper as hot as a flame. Down to the counselor’s office she sent me walking. All I was guilty of was a little talking. This happened on more than one occasion. Is there any other form of communication? She was like boiling pots without lids. How could she teach if she hated kids? Mrs. Whatshername was the worst teacher I remember. In 1962, it all started in September. Was I thankful for that last day of school in June! For the whole summer, I was singing a happier tune!
