Mr Period
I’m not a killer but a healer,
I stretch my hands to you,
for you to change,
Change! to alter the course of
history or be a part of it.
I’m a friend not a foe,
Even though I can put a stop
to your life,
without a gun or knife.
I’ve dined with many kings and queens,
Many great fellows passed through my school,
Yet I remained strong and
my bone did not wane.
Many books were written about my
quest and conquest;
I’m history itself.
I’m a writer, singer and philosopher,
“Do what you have to do now,
for time waits for no one"-I say;
this essay I made popular,
death and life are my colleagues,
when I call they answer without hesitation…
waiting for you to do right..
before my bell rings and put
a stop to what you do…period!
But, I’m not God.
