Mr Needle

Just let me inside one more time
I’ll make you feel better.
You know what I hold
Within my belly.
Your veins scream out for me
With deafening voice, drowning out
All you friends who tell you ‘no’.
I hurt you the first time,
But you forgave me
Because it felt so good soon after.
Since then you’ve always
Come back, groping, grabbing,
Filling, stabbing, ecstasy.
Some day I’ll kick you,
But you already knew that
And don’t seem to care.
I like that.
It’s nice to be seeing the same person
Day after day, instead of having
To adjust to someone new.
So hang on to me
For as long as you live,
Because you know you can’t leave now.
You need me and I need you
Or we both die.
