Mr Ghoul Makes a Stand

Mr Ghoul worked for Plastic Co. for years
and years.

until...

all the non-ghouls suddenly loathed him.

Especially Barry.
They called him GAY GHOUL GARY.

They taunted him to tears.
They threatened to cut off his ears
with rusted stainless-steel garden shears.

Gary wasn’t gay.
He told them over and over he wasn’t gay.

When Mr Ghoul made serious complaints at the main office station, the
managers and CEO laughed at,
really laughed at
him
(one day so would the whole nation) him
with great
animation that wasn’t great.

And they called him
“Mr Chief Executive of
the **** Fisting Association”. That hurt him.

Gary had no friends or family to help
him. The police didn’t help
ghouls. They didn’t believe
ghouls got upset over bullying they receive.
‘They’re ghouls! Ghouls don’t have feelings!
 NO FEELINGS!’

Mr Ghoul didn’t know what to do.

In his grave in Elmwood Cemetery he
lied in with too much fear. Over and over he
thought, ‘Should I stay at work and be
bullied over and over or be
free and happy? I
should just quit! For a living I
could be...
could be... um, could be... Oh I can’t foresee!’

Over breakfast on Halloween Mr Ghoul today decided he would quit today.
So, he fast finished the last big, lengthy, grey bulky
slug with appealing tubercles (sulky
too) he’d caught the previous day,
and he set off for work after a quick pray.

He gathered every worker, broke the news.
On their faces there was no amuse.
‘We won’t let you go! Gary!
We need you to stay. Weeeeee choose!
You must stay so we can bully you, Gary
Gay Ghoul,’ a sylphlike man roared. ‘Choose,
weeeeeee choose, Gary!’

Gary angrily said,
‘Well, I don’t believe a word you’ve said!
Not one word, Mr Ted!’

Gary stormed off out into the truck bay.
There he tried to calm down.
He was interrupted by, ‘HEY!'

He whipped around to see
Ted riding fast a steamroller.
It was as quiet as a flea.

Mr Ghoul didn’t have time to
jump to
save himself.
The roller flattened him. No saving himself!
Now pancake-thin, he couldn’t look at himself.

Everyone came racing out and laughed.
They laughed
until they got bored and
went back to work in their positions. And
some worked and
laughed. Mr Ghoul left and...

Never went back there.

Another problem: Mr Ghoul couldn’t go
to the Halloween Ghoul Catwalk Show.
‘Oh my flat head with flat features very aching,
my flat body, flat arms, and flat legs very aching
aren’t in the least breathtaking!’
