Moving Waters

I will seat patiently to nurse thee Like a man a new bride, And watch thy dazzling eyes For signs of the coming tide. Moving waters the sea calls you, The two winds wait to escort your sail, And the birds of the earth, And the birds of the heaven, Ready with a song their new bride sings. Forward ever moving waters, Happy in your sail as you drift away Through silent caves, valleys and hills, Towards the sea that will drown thee. Thou drift to your end, Moving waters like life, Thou drift to the end.
