Moving Slow With a Crashing Love

"MOVING SLOW WITH A CRASHING LOVE." I talked with her on the phone yesterday, although not until the end, I didn't know I was going to write about her... but maybe she did. we talked, she told me about her newest babies and troubles with her oldest... "but you seem happier," I told her. "Eddie," she said, "I am and right now I'm able to deal with everything, even the blue clouds wrapped up in the white sky." I went on to ask her about us and she said, "not quite yet." at the end of our phone call, I told her I had never stopped what we had started even though she had put it on pause. when she thought of what we talked about, what we had shared, her avoidance to it disappeared. "just don't forget about Eddie," I told her. "I could never forget about you." she said. a slug travels with a rose in his mouth and stops to look at the ocean. a slug is just a slug but the ocean knows it's there, never forgetting and singing old love songs.
