Moving On Without Moving My Feet

Moving on without moving my feet
I've thought about u constantly since u have been gone
When u left I thought u would break harder
Turns out I was the one who fell harder
After my yurning 4 u had been confessed
Ur rejection of my love and longing was my reality
And it cut like a knife
My Youth has gone without a good-bye
Ur youth has let u move on with just few tears
Growing older makes moving on harder
Knowing that if u don't hold on tightly
Memories fade and love will fade
My heart would rather hurt constantly rather than forget
Choosing to move on without moving my feet

Flashes of u in my mind
Ur watermelon/strawberry lips
Tight white tank top
Summertime reminds me of u
There r memories of u that will never fade
Harry Styles helps to bring those memories back
When summer comes around and I'm sitting on the porch
I see u in a chair next to me with ur knees to ur chest
Head phones & staring at the sun's rays on the trees
Loosing that vision would spit in the face of God
That vision is what beauty is
Enjoying that kind of beauty is what life is about
This is me moving on without moving my feet

I now know that u don't want me
Like I want u
It would cause too much pain for people around us
U need to know that I will be here
If ever u should need me like I need u
My love for u will go in deep hibernation
Sleeping & waiting for ur beautiful face
Secretly hoping that I don't see u again
Heart stopping is the fear of that moment
Heart dropping from my chest
Looking into ur eyes will tear me apart
No cure for that fear of beauty
Just doses of pain relief to keep it at bay
This is how I move on without moving my feet
