I wrote this song when a very close friend died. My melody is arranged and played by James Gladson and the beautiful vocal is provided by Tilly Aldaine.

Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light A path that never ends but twists and bends and winds and turns so much to learn about the ways and mysteries of who we are and what we’ll be Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light A road with holes and cracks and countless tracks on different lines for there’s no sign no map or guide or marks to show the traveller which way to go Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light Time that ceaseless flow where does it go? where are we bound? what shall be found? uncertain goals just out of sight compel all souls towards the light Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light Moving on I’m moving on I’m moving on to the light

Mavis, I love your poem, which was only enhanced by your beautiful voice and melody. When I read it, one of my first thoughts was the sense of musicality. The melody and your voice will stay with me for the rest of the day. ??

Hi Julie, thank you for your comment. I have just edited the information about the songs production as I am not a singer, I only sing enough to convey a melody I make up to a musician/producer and then he constructs the backing track and the vocal is provided by friends who are amateur singers.

Apologies for the question marks. I forgot - text only and no smiley face emojis. It morphed into two question marks, which just looks very odd.
