Moving On In Life
Unchained melodies,
Following me onto the street.
Vividly announcing
The blues have stolen my beat.
Unsettling notions,
I'm a gluttany for mistakes.
The waterworks arrive,
Drowning my sorrows like lakes.
I made a mistake
It didn't seem that bad.
Would it be different,
If I knew I would be this sad?
I'm punishing myself for my own crime,
Of loving life and not following time.
Or accepting the facts that never existed
In my fragile mind I thought I'd never missed it.
Being a snowflake so fragile and fair,
You'd think I'd learn the first time.
I melt into nothing like I was never even there.
