Moving On

You are with someone new,
My friend who is no stranger to you.
We have been over for some time,
But damn, why this crime?

He acts like nothings wrong,
He speaks to me and runs along.
You talk behind my back,
It is my heart which you attack.

I have to let you go,
Forgive and forget is what I must do.
Happiness for you is what I want to see,
Even if you still hate me.

It’s not a perfect world I know,
Because friends become foes.
Don’t talk to me anymore,
You I just want to ignore.

Just know it was great while we “were”,
In mind your memory I’ll defer.
You will leave in me a scar,
But the most happiness I’ve had by far.
