MOVING MATTER

Again and again
I return to this space
Where patterns and people
Have no name, no face

The table is set
With a feast to take
Meat and bones together
From what thoughts make

Every trip back
I see something new
How the lies developed
To present as truth

The light from within
Shines out to dim eyes
Invitation to leave
Becomes the tie that binds

I know grace is here
But it feels like the end of the line
I will not be allowed to return
Because there is no more time

...matter moved on
