Moving Forward
Moving forward,
After all the tears,
After being away from you,
Not hearing from you,
Just wondering how you're getting on;
It's never easy,
To forget someone you loved.
It's always hard,
To keep going on,
Because you wanted them to be happy.
You were happy as long as they were.
But now things are different.
Now, you have to forget,
Now, you have to push aside your sadness,
Your hate and resentment for them,
And move forward.
Find another fish in the sea,
And let him treat you with all the love,
And the warmth and happiness you deserve.
Don't let the past haunt you,
Moving forward is the best medicine,
After a long relationship,
You have to go on,
Keep moving forward...
