Moving Forward

Living in the city gave me a hair line fracture
   only discovered
    upon my move to Gibsons
where time stands still amongst the lapping waves
and long grey cranes that waggle their heads in search of fish-
there is much freedom here I think
while walking down our one Main Street
No don't hunger for the city-
it's endless malls and congested traffic
that smacks of arteriosclerosis of the veins

I celebrate my decision to relocate thereby having time
and opportunity to explore retirement that
motivates me to kick start my creativity-
I count my blessings everyday.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
