Movie Star

Last night as my eyes grew heavy,
And your face popped in my mind,
And the day began to replay,
As if a movie in re-wind

I can still remember the color shirt you wore,
and even the color pants,
And even though I try not to look,
I can't help but glance

Sometimes our eyes would meet,
Other times I try to ignore you are there,
Yet I always try to throw you subtle hints,
But you always seem so unaware

And as the movie continued on,
I remembered all the things I wanted to say,
But instead I always tell myself
Maybe tomorrow...not today

As the movie came sadly to an end,
I smiled because I knew...
Tomorrow meant a new release
 and the "Star" is you

Sad, but well thought-out piece.
