Move

nothing comes
crashing down
at the sound of your voice
but it’s
motionless
that really stands out

thoughts that
fly
commotion
in your absence
are standstill silent
when you appear
wings that
simply
stop
beating

heart race
ends
ten feet from the finish line
breathless
losing is fine
as long as
I
don’t
move
because any action
could scare you
away
any contact broken
could be the
best time
any glance forsaken
could be my
only
chance

run through my
sentences
paused
run down these
hallways
blurred
run from these
thoughts
waiting
just
to
move
