Mounting

Early morning
up before the sun.
I sit in my recliner
in my high rise
apartment.
Watching the day
begin.
Traffic buzzing.
Sky line slowly
broadening.
Chasing away
the cold,
dark night.
Relaxed enjoying
my waking moments,
time dictates no more
lounging about.
Time is fleeting.
