Mountains
out yonder lie mountains
strong shoulders
heads above
searching
where minds come to rest
amongst rough edges
of life, longing, legitimacy
leaping out
faith
pushing out
darkness holding on to place
safe
so safe
statutes sated
peace caressing serenity
still
so so still
where beauty meets her eye
a serenade to an open sky
sparkled
amid the wonders why
stares to the heavens
stars whisper back
enlightened engagement
under attack
thoughts
off with the breeze
breathing in
every scent
to be
