Mothers, Sons, Drugs, and Rum
Death's a *****,
I was cheated by wrath,
Don't follow my path,
No matter the itch.
I'm protecting you,
From the events to come,
Mother, please listen,
Put down your rum.
Dad always said,
To love and learn.
I'm your lesson,
I'm your happiness,
I'm your cries,
Your constant yearn.
We'll get through this,
As we always did,
Just when Dad left us,
I was only a kid.
Worry not Mother,
All will be swell,
Do it for me,
Life is yours,
Time will tell.
