Beautiful poem. They have tons of patience. Once a red vented bulbul made nest in balcony on a rod I had put for swing it was amazing to watch it place twig after twig. The nest fell down and I saw a perfect bowl of twigs. Amazing talent, God's gift to them. Enjoy your weekend. Take care Rama

This as a Tanka poem for me is a first, you caught a glimpse of nature all within one verse, Darlene . . . every spring I leave a pile of little twigs in view of the window on the lawn, it's wonderful watching them dart back and forth collecting them, then when the chicks come I leave raw cotton pods up so they get that extra bit of cosiness in their nests, lovely, Darlene, enjoyed this one very much . . . : )
