Mothers Love
Mother’s Love
In the beginning when Eve begot
A son who she called Cain
His brother Able who he fought
Without a reason to explain
How quickly he could get so hot
And briefly go insane
She really loved her son a lot
Which brought her so much pain
When he did what he should not
After he lost control again
Both were gone but not forgot
One cast out the other slain
A mother forgives without a thought
She will remember without refrain
A mother’s love does not boycott
Nor does it ever seem mundane
A mother’s love is all she's got
When only the memories remain
