Mother To Be
what a day to think of names
and what silly days ahead filled with games
I will play peek a boo
and think of your mother and you
yet that is nine months away
so long yet so short
for many plans await
diaper bins and a baby gate
the magic of motherhood
is not quite understood
at least by men
we haven't a clue
but nail and hammer and some glue
in readiness we will build it for you
we owe a great big thanks for all that is a mother
for on God's green earth filled with gems there is no other
