Mother Teresa

Mary Teresa of Albania became Mother Teresa of Calcutta,
Overcoming many ups and downs on the pious path she set.
Tormented by the agony of the poor and the destitute
Home she brought them to where they should be as she
Experienced the divinity of call of compassion from within,
Resonating as the voice of God in the dark night of the sick.

The benevolent soul got beatified and she was canonized,
Ever caring mother entered the holy sanctum of sainthood,
Raising her passion for human service to heaven for fortitude,
Emerged in Missionaries of Charity as joy fountain for the needy.
Singular lone journey she began decades ago from her heart
Absorbs still the tears of the indigent although she is gone.
