Mother Nature's Favorite Season

Silent stars start to shine in heat like burnished gold- The weather is quite temperate tonight; a mild tangerine eventide setting of the sun has brought a new lease on life. Untrimmed cherry blossoms in the shade sway outside the gazebo my late sister made by hand- (and it is still my most prized possession from heaven) Peony buds are flourishing this time of year in Michigan. They always have the most lovely complexion- slightly pink with shades of red hues; gleaming under the heat at noon. Grains of soft sand sift through my bare toes- sweet surrender along pebbled shores with reveries flowing into eternal cosmic grace. (brilliantly splendid) ~Silent Stars start to shine in heat like burnished gold- soon the soft essence of Autumn shall begin to unfold~ July 31, 2019 16 lines total A Summer's Day Redo Contest

This is wonderful, Lu Loo: You have used all the challenge words so beautifully and none seem forced or out of place. A sure winner. Hugs, SuZ

Excellent job interwoven with very personal touches. As beautiful as each line is, the poem brought me down because it reminded me that summer is almost over and I DONT WANT THAT. Seriously, seamlessly flowing imagery captivated me. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
