Mother, Mother Where Are You?

Murderer
Of a child's innocence.
Too late to forgive
Her hate-filled drunkeness when
Expounding on this word.
Rather forget than pretend she cared.

Maybe in some
Other lifetime we
Two will work through our
History to find the
Elation this word brings when
Remembered by others.

Thanks Sue for helping me with the sestina...the Van Gogh one is not correct for the contest because I believe I had too many stresses per line...but....the write was a "ride" I truely blew it out in 2 hours non stop...I was very happy with it and so really appreciate your comments! (Me and my Mom had a similiar rough go...thank God we were able to mend before her passing) Big Hugs Light & Love
