Mother Mother

MOTHER MOTHER
WHY ARE YOU
LEAVING ME SO SOON

I AM NOT READY TO BE LEFT ALONE ON MY OWN
WITHOUT A SKIRT TO HIDE UNDER
OR ARMS TO CATCH ME WHEN I FALL

I USED TO WANDER OUT INTO THE WORLD
TO TEST MY INDEPENDENCE
BUT IT WAS ONLY A TEST THEN
WHEN YOU WERE BEHIND
TO PROTECT ME

NOW ITS FOR REAL
THE REAL DEAL
AND I WILL SURVIVE
IN AND WITH YOUR MEMORIES
BECAUSE OF YOU I AM HERE
AND NOT ALONE.
