Mother, Middle Aged

Mother, Middle Aged.

Forlorn, she sinks into the abyss of a middle aged
mother, her pupae no longer the apple of her eye.
Baffled, she sees her cocoon tear open and barge
hastily, fumbling in quest of sham grown ups’ pride.
A mother she remains, middle aged. Spiteful and void.

Well, that's a very hard take on the poor woman, perhaps men should try men-o-pause and see how they act? It is one heck of a write though even if I don't like the topic, great writing! Congrad's on your win. Light & Love

Sad ....Middle age is such a great time of life..One has maturity to make good choices and not as much responsibility with child rearing..Enjoyed reading your poem about the subject..Sara

Mehnaz, very deep and profound, some people do not age well and some embrace it, well done. Constance
