Mother Met Cancer
She was beautiful
A strong woman
Glowing
Full of love
Mother, friend, our father's light
The giver of life
Lovingly, she touched everyone
That she met
But Mother met cancer
He was diabolical
Aggressive, relentless
The taker of life
Viciously, he touched everyone
That he met
Light vs dark, good against evil
Oh how hard she fought
Oh how long she fought
Clawing for every second of love
Until the end
When Mother met peace
