Mother Knows

Babes
flesh of her
with the audacity
to crown themselves
lords
if not gods
masters of all
all
natural

fools
at her feet

As every kingdom falls
Nature alone
knows immortality

Very true. Nicely said. Brief hilarious mortality! Thanks for your compliment, Maureen. I am reading through some of yours, some painful motorcycle crashes! I like the butterfly from chrysalis one too. Certainly your poems I've seen take a few moments to read, some of mine are monsters!

Oh this old thing! "Brief hilarious mortality" indeed! Love that. Thank you so much Jasmine! Bicycle... I wish motorcycle, that much damage was helped by hitting two cars, over achiever. My poems are little monsters, like mosquitoes ;), Poetry hugs! xomo

Yes, babes are pieces of mother's flesh. Insightful poem. Thanks, Maureen
