Mother
When love begins to sour
It begins the countdown to the final hour
Tried and true
You are now broken and blue
Desperate and trying
You believe you are dying
Eyes full of tears
It may take you many years
There is no bargaining
You will never be back to together again
You are with child
A great reason for you to smile
Dreams of the past
Simply dreams, never meant to last
You have fallen on your as(s)
Believe me, this moment too shall pass
Now you have given birth
A brand new life, now added to this earth.
You & your child go to the park
As you watch him play, it becomes dark
Your son has never met his father
You now know real love, because now, you are a mother
