Mother
MOTHER
Mother carried me
For nine months
In her womb.
Was it not painful
For her?
Did I not kick her too much?
She fed me all kind of delicious food
Even watched Sofia the first with me.
Yes, kindly,
I was a girl.
Oh no,...
Her contractions have begun
AGAIN!
Sorry Mama,
It hurts you, doesn’t it?
I’ll kiss the pain to go away.

He hugged Mama and I into sleep.
And just like that, the morning rose;
The day of my birth.
She looked at me,
And kissed me on the forehead.
I could feel her pain,
Her PAIN…
“Mama,
I’m here with you” I said.
Water slid down her cheeks as Papa held tightly her hands.
She screamed as hard as she could,
And I pulled out as hard as I could.
But then,
She passed out...
