Mother
Don't be sad Mother,
you're a diamond in the making,
pressure and heat transform you
like the seasons that come and go
Don't be scared Mother,
all these detours lead somewhere,
they will make sense once the journey is complete
Don't look back Mother,
you're only going forward-
try to picture a field of sunflowers-
smiling tall at the sun
Don't lose faith Mother,
your angels never sleep,
they live through you, by your side.
Don't forget Mother,
you have moved mountains in your life-
you have undergone some of the worlds greatest trauma,
and still stand delicate, with a whole heart.
Don't worry Mother,
this is just a battle of your mind-
waiting for you to conquer it,
one step at a time.
