A girl becomes a woman
On a life journey path


Life unfolds a love affair
Fate ushers a soul mate


Woman and man conjure
To journey side by side


Destiny and fate stage bliss
Love enraptures dreams


Now for the first time:
A child and a mother 


First time mother 
Holds first time child


First time father discovers
A brand new family circle


For mother is truly everything
In this our life:


Mother nurtures our being
Flesh from her kind flesh


Nurtures an inner astronaut
In her loving, living womb


Then birthing a new-born baby
Cradled in her fond embrace


Fortifying our well-being
With her nectar of love


Mother brings comfort in sorrow
Consolation in our grieving


So forgiving of our mistakes
So forgetting of our errors


Happiness in our success
Pure joy in our achievement


Mother is the unending dawn
Of love in being and becoming


Mother is the warm sunshine
That never sets on our days


Mother is everything
In this life of wonder


Because a mother gives us life
The ultimate gift in full measure


Mother is truly God's miracle
Manifest in human form


For this timeless blessing
Our heart and soul can only say:


Thank You
Dear mother for everything


As a token of our forever debt:
"Happy Mother's Day Mummy!"
