Morningtide
As the bold sun rises with grace
Sparse soft light stretches wide and afar
Across flower's sweet scented field's mace
Powder blue clouds hide night's Dog Star
Damp murmurs of sleepy birds are heard
As the bold sun rises with grace
Stout brown rabbit in his hole stirs
While the red fox hides his hungry face
Elfin green frogs jump in a racing chase
Lazy rustling from stirring sleepy fawns
As the bold sun rises with grace
Delighting every slow white swan
Eyes, ears and life refreshed to bring
This September morn arousing the night to erase
Wake up! Wake up! So sweetly rings
As the bold sun rises with grace
