Morning Revival
Light raindrops send their watery kisses down
shimmering sprinkles bless the weary ground
humble flowers lift their grateful faces to the sky
silent leaves take notice and open their stems wide.
Dappled light shines softly after early morning rain
freshly cleanses nature’s colors brilliantly again
sweet air wafts through yellow fields of bending wheat
river meanders in fresh patterns quelling summer’s heat.
