Notes About The Poem

Morning On the River

Awake before the sunrise,

one with the breeze and water.

Like my father who brought me here

and taught me this graceful dance

of line and wind and stillness~

     the art of fly fishing~

And the simple pleasure of

     a morning on the river.

This poem is framed from within with the words "This graceful dance of line and wind and stillness" ---perfection in thought!

So expressive and elegant in its (deceiving) simplicity. One of the pleasures of life---so perfectly penned. A FAVE! :) gw
