morning
news on fire
planes and towers,
pentagon — we N E V E R
                      F O R G E T.

jumpers —
desperate,
hold family
in woeful reverie.
                   G O D   S E E S

firemen
sacrificed.
smoke cloud chases
frantic New York City —
                         A T   W A R.

mourning
two towers?
no - the deceased!
their kith and kin remain
                           A W A R E

sunken
ships of steel —
square grave fountains,
a perpetual flood —
                  D I G S  D E E P*

*to make a lot of effort with one’s resources.
In this case, it is a pocket of tears.
