Morning Man
Written By: D. Collins 8/26/25
Imagine every morning when you woke up.
It came at the beginning of a monstrous knut.
That right there would put a smile on your face.
That giddy one you carry throughout the day.
Poking and prowling at O-Dark-Thirty.
Before the sun rises we're doing the dirty.
You step into the shower as light as a feather.
And, for no reason at all the coffee tastes better.
In the wee, wee hours we would shake it off.
Go out into the world feeling Charmin soft.
Able to handle whatever is put in front of us.
'Cause we made it happen, long before dusk.
