Morning Love Song
~
I gazed upon an orchid sky and thought that I heard singing
a melody adrift the morning breeze
So lovely were the harmonies in happiness now bringing
meandering through barren autumn trees
I listened for a while to the wonder I was hearing
amidst the morning dew this glistened lawn
It seemed that it was flowing from a distant far off clearing
to brighten up this slowly waking dawn
When then it did occur to me this whispered music streaming
from whence this lilting chorus did depart
I closed my eyes and realized it was of you I’m dreaming
this morning love song came from in my heart
