Morning Glory

Coming alive at the brink of day,
Showing faces, hidden from view.
Resting from darkness, they play,
Starting each morning anew,
Colors so vivid, as violet blue,
Trumpeting out, ever so dear,
Reveling in glory, with no fear,

Ivy of its heart; spreads out far.
Climbing and twisting, they go.
Leaves that glisten, like a star.
Reaching upwards, they grow.
Angels in Heaven, they know.
All the joy, billowing, they start.
They foretell all natures’ heart.

Morning Glories have always mystified me, Cecil. How is it they show so much beauty during the day and hide away at night? Your description of their color and form are remarkable, Cecil. Happy Friendship Week! Love you, Carolyn
