Morning Bells Sound Sweetly

Morning bells sound sweetly in my ear From steeple yon their pealing reaches me Each day begins with ringing far and near Morning bells sound sweetly in my ear Melodies of love and faith I love to hear Sounds of “Amazing Grace,” how can it be Morning bells sound sweetly in my ear From steeple yon their pealing reaches me.

Congratulations on your win. A beautiful sounding write. Love it. I missed when the bells stopped the last two years. It was so very sad. Have a blessed day writing away.......................

Listening to the morning bells is almost like listening to God's call. Beautifully written. Congratulations!

I absolutely adore the sound of church bells. I find the sound comforting. A bit like your triolet Milton. :) Cheers - Gary

Gary, thank you for your thoughtful comment on my poem. I like them, too, but don't hear them very often anymore.

Me too, Tom, and I'm afraid most churches do not play them so often anymore.
