Morning a Lost Child

The past is gone, yet it remains
Forever locked within my brain
Feelings of despair, yet I've not been aware
Feelings of fear keeps drawing near
Closing my eyes never to cry
Not knowing why I lived a lie
Can feelings of Shame caused all this pain
If it remains I will become insane
God knows, I'm tired of playing this game
Please, asset me unlock my chains
By releasing this forgotten pain
Is a lost child to blame
His protection was but a game
Face reality with no shame

I wanted to first say thank you for the kind words you sent me on my work. I just finished reading your first poem and it was very nice. It makes me feel as though I was right beside you . Lol, hope this is comforting. God bless
