Morning

in subtle tones
o ancient colors
gentle pastel hues
creep 'cross the sky
bringing warmth
wisps and tentacles
stretching forth
waking the day
sharing the space
midst receding stars
releasing the darkness
lighting the way
awakening silent
sleeping spirits
