Morning

Birdsong fills the air with sound so sweet
the morning sun dapples the lawn,
Shades of green from glowing to dark
Water gently bubbles from a hidden spring
Movement, so slight it should be missed
A breeze so gentle it’s barely felt
The wealth of nations can’t
buy this peace.

The first line reminds me of a bird in our backyard tree that goes crazy with chirping every morning. Love it. Congrats on the selection. Love, daver

Hi William: A very heart felt poem describing a morning like this where some folks retain their sanity, Good Write.
