Morning

Fresh air surrounds me
I close my eyes and
Surrender that sense

Notes of moss and decay
Florals carried in the morning mist
Caressing my cheeks

I want to move through
The soft morning air
Yet unwilling to open my eyes

I will savor the moments
Resting here in feeling
Before light begins directing my steps
