More Than Just a Memory

It was your silence that shook my world You made me wonder with thoughts running wild in you Your glances made me think Of the man you were once and shall be The pain of your told and untold stories, Lingered through my veins Buried deeply in your memories Are pictures of your tears Yet you stood still through those years You found joy through your own core But your eyes paint wonder at times Of how life would be if time's in your hand And hidden in your past, is a history of us Knowing you would shed another tear, You left with a kiss and marked your arc Of what seemed to be more than just a memory
